Since 1983 the Chelsea Physic Garden has been open to the public. It was established as the Apothecaries’ Garden all the way back in 1673 and was used to grow the plants used to make medicines. This garden is among the oldest botanical gardens in Britain and is a pleasure to stroll through.

With Chelsea being near the centre of London you have easy access to the majority of shopping hot spots in the city. But Chelsea is home to a busy high street and the King’s Walk Shopping Mall. This makes for an ideal place for some serious retail therapy. Designer stores and high end boutiques are in the plenty. The boutiques along the King’s Road are as manicured as the residents here. In Sloane street you might want to bring your credit card. It’s home to the Cartier, Tiffany & Co, Prada, Hermes store and lots more. Duke Of York Square is home to one of Europe’s largest Zara stores. You’ll find children’s clothing stores and a whole host of different fashion trends and styles.
